8 Year Old Dies On Wedding Night

Hello guys!
Recently an eight-year-old
child bride who was forced to marry a man five times her age died in Yemen of
internal bleeding sustained during her wedding night. The girl, identified only
as Rawan, died in the tribal area of Hardh in northwestern Yemen and now
activists are calling for the groom, who is believed to be around 40 years old,
and her family to be arrested so they can face justice in the courts.
After much thought I decided
that today why don't we talk about a more controversial issue that might seem
old but hasn't lost its sour taste to the mouth...

Many people from different
religions have different opinions about this issue, we can even describe it as
a hot topic. And basically too much cannot be said on this issue... People like
Sani Yerima are gaining more and more popularity because of their fanatic
belief that "Maturity is not by age but by Size, once a girl has breasts
she is ready for marriage".
He claimed to have married a
13yr old and they even have a son together, and he's not sorry for his actions
or feelings. I believe any sane person would know that this is very evil, how
can a person say that a 9yr old child is old enough for marriage, when some
20year olds can't make decisions by themselves.
I thought and thought and
even asked people what could be the cause of this madness and so far no one has
been able to define it. Honestly, I believe that these children that are been
given out as brides are not being treated fairly at all, why don't this men
even decide to enroll them in schools?
This is the type of insanity
that has possessed our men.. Excuse me, these men probably already have
children and wives, why torture these young girl pscyologically, sexually and
morally??? If the level for sexual satisfaction
has grown to the point that men marry their 'granddaughters', then I strongly
believe they need serious prayers!

#My opinion : In my own words, the child not bride thing shouldn't be stressed much. Those who indulge in it have whatever it is they enjoy in it. Its just like someone who smokes, he derives something from it. But God will punish all of them sha !!!!

ReplyDeleteI saw Yerima's interview with Femi Oke on Aljazeera, and he successful displayed his "stupidity" to the world. He had no clue. Stella damasus was also there and she was almost weeping. One thing, though, I feel they are trying to do is to divert our attentions from some matter on ground. Someone probably just stole some money, or something, and they needed a strategy to make us forget about it and move to a next thing... Whatever is the case here,I will not stop to pray for Nigeria. Very soon, very very soon, God will expose all of them and we will sing the song of victory again... God bless you, God bless me, and God bless NIGERIA.
